Paramedic Class
Clinton County EMS is thrilled to announce its second Paramedic Class, with an application deadline of November 30, 2024 to submit your application. This is an exceptional opportunity for those looking to advance their careers in emergency medical services. The program stands out due to its commitment to high education standards, featuring instructors who are critical care and flight providers. The curriculum is further enhanced by the involvement of two dedicated Medical Directors who bring a wealth of experience from both Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS).
One of the most significant advantages of the Clinton County Paramedic Program is its emphasis on hands-on experience. The program is designed to challenge students through an extensive curriculum and comprehensive lab training. This practical approach ensures that graduates are well-prepared to tackle the complexities of real-world medical emergencies. Moreover, this program allows students to fast track their careers by bypassing the associate degree, enabling them to embark on their professional journeys more swiftly. Upon completion, students will earn 30 credit hours with Columbia Southern University, providing them with the option to continue their education and complete their degree.
Prospective students should act quickly, as applications will close on November 30, 2024. Classes are scheduled to begin on January 6, 2025, and will conclude on December 31, 2025. Admission to the program requires candidates to complete a written test and an interview, ensuring that only the most dedicated individuals are selected.
The course is structured as a 12-month program with a total cost of $7,800 for the entire course. Classes will be held in-person on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, incorporating in-depth lab and classroom sessions. Please note that candidates must hold a current EMT certification to be eligible to apply.
